Homemade massage oil blends not only make great gifts, they are the perfect way to customize your aromatherapy experience. Whether you’re dealing with stress, sore muscles, bloating, or something else entirely, these DIY recipes can bring a botanical boost to your massage.

We recommend jojoba as a carrier oil for the massage oil blends here. However, feel free to substitute in your preferred neutral oil in any of these recipes.

Instructions: Mix the essential oils into an ounce of jojoba oil or other neutral carrier oil. Blend well, and adjust the proportions if desired.

Rest and Rejuvenation Oil:
6 drops vetiver oil
6 drops clary sage oil
6 drops lavender oil
Recommended flower essence pairing: Stress Relief

Rough Feet and Heels Oil:
3 drops chamomile oil
6 drops wild carrot seed oil
6 drops Roman chamomile oil
Recommended flower essence pairing: Strength
*Apply before bedtime.

Cerebral Circulation Oil:
10 drops lemongrass oil
4 drops frankincense oil
2 drops peppermint oil
Recommended flower essence pairing: Mind Ease
*Rub into the back of the neck and head.

Post-Workout Oil:
4 drops black pepper oil
4 drops frankincense oil
2 drops clary sage oil
1 drop peppermint oil
Recommended flower essence pairing: Cellular Harmony
*Rub into areas of need.

Healthy Water Balance Oil:
3 drops juniper berry oil
3 drops lentisque oil
3 drops cypress oil
3 drops rose geranium oil
3 drops rosemary oil
2 drops lavender oil
Recommended flower essence pairing: Flow Free
