A Live Retreat with David Crow at Esalen

DATE: October 15-20, 2017

“Medicinal plants can support our spiritual evolution in many ways,” says David Crow.

“By helping us detoxify from physical addictions they can free us of negative mental habits; by rejuvenating our vitality and immunity, they can remove the obstacles of illness and empower us to manifest our life purposes. But medicinal plants can do far more than that. They can support brain health, cognitive function, and meditation, revitalize the organs and tissues, and strengthen yoga and qigong practices. When used over a long period of time, medicinal plants can help give us longevity, knowledge, insight, and wisdom.”

Through a combination of contemplative practices, philosophical exploration, and practical herbal training, students will be taught how to:

• Use important groups of plants that support spiritual practices

• Understand how medicinal plants can enhance awareness of our interconnectedness to the celestial energies and terrestrial elements they contain

• Directly perceive the ancient botanical intelligence that supports the functioning of our own life force in every moment

Using the language of ayurvedic, Tibetan, and Chinese medicine, students will gain a profound understanding of the biological unity between humanity and the plant realm, and through this awaken the reverence and respect of ecological spirituality.
