In the first installment of The Pharmacy of Flowers, David Crow outlined how essential oils can be used for non-medical purposes in a grassroots level, home pharmacy approach. This intensive training program takes the applications of essential oils and aromatherapy to a more advanced level, and addresses how to use this healing modality safely and effectively for specific and more complex health concerns. Intelligent Aromatherapy is oriented to health care practitioners of different modalities. However, the information in the course is easily accessible and applicable to students of all levels.

The course topics include:

  • Essential oil toxicity, warnings and contraindications
  • Quality control issues in the aromatherapy industry
  • Benefits and limitations of essential oil analysis
  • Concentration, dilution and administration
  • Unique oils and methods of British, French and Corsican aromatherapy
  • Combining herbs and essential oils for enhanced effectiveness
  • Essential oils for infections and inflammation
  • Aromatherapy, the limbic system and the treatment of anxiety, depression and other mental health issues
  • Essential oil uses for pregnancy, children and elderly
  • Essential oils during chemotherapy and radiation
  • Regulation or disruption of glandular functions with essential oils
  • Essential oils and herbs for respiratory, digestive and neurological conditions
